Teacher, Director, Sponsor, Scholar

Cynthia has worked as a teacher for twenty years. Seventeen years at the high school level and three at the elementary level. At the beginning of her teaching career she was also an assistant color guard director for three years and became the head color guard director for four years. Later, she served as the Spirit Liaison for one year and then became a pep squad sponsor for two years. After which she decided to complete her Masters degree in Management. She later interned as an assistant principal for a summer session and became a teacher leader for the remainder of her teaching career. All twenty years were served in the same district of Southwest Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas.


Cynthia began her coaching teaching career this school year, 2016-2017 at the San Antonio Independent School District in San Antonio as an Implementation Specialist. Her aspirations and calling in education continues to grow and change as her interests grow and change.


Cynthia has been volunteering for the last four years in her spare time with STABA, South Texas Amateur Boxing Association as a local boxing official and participates nationally as an official for USA Boxing representing  the state of Texas and as a Women Official.


Cynthia has a bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an Interdisciplinary in Reading from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. She earned her Masters in Management from the University of Phoenix San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas.

Cynthia lives in Live Oak, Texas. She prides herself for raising her two sons as a single parent and is a grandmother of two grand-daughters and one more on the way. She hopes to one day publish a piece of work and is trying to find her literary voice.
